Import your workout history.

Export from your current app, open the file in FORGE, review what comes across, and keep training. The whole process takes about two minutes.

Step 1

Export from your current app.

FORGE imports CSV files from Strong, Hevy, and FitNotes. Find the export option in your current app and save or share the file.

From Strong

  1. Open Strong
  2. Go to Settings → Export Data
  3. Choose CSV
  4. Save or share the file to your device

From Hevy

  1. Open Hevy
  2. Go to Settings → Export Data
  3. Choose Export workouts (CSV)
  4. Save or share the file to your device

From FitNotes

  1. Open FitNotes
  2. Go to Settings → Backup
  3. Tap Export to CSV
  4. Save or share the file to your device
Step 2

Open the file in FORGE.

In FORGE, go to Profile → Settings → Import Data. Tap Choose Export File and select the CSV you exported. FORGE auto-detects the source app format.

01

Open Profile tab

Tap the Profile tab, then Settings.

02

Tap Import Data

Under the Data section, tap "Import Data."

03

Select your file

Tap "Choose Export File" and pick the CSV. The format is detected automatically.

Step 3

Review what comes across.

Before anything is saved, FORGE shows you a preview: total workouts, total sets, exercise match rate, and any exercises that could not be matched to the built-in library. Unmatched exercises become editable custom exercises — nothing is lost.

Step 4

Start training.

After import, your history appears in the History tab. Your next step is the same as any other day in FORGE: open a routine and start logging.

Common questions

Before you start.

What if an exercise name does not match?

FORGE creates a custom exercise with the original name. You can rename or remap it later in your history. Nothing is dropped.

Can I import the same file twice?

No. FORGE detects duplicate imports by content hash and blocks re-import to prevent doubled data. Delete the previous import first if you need to redo it.

Is there a file size limit?

50 MB per file. If your export is larger, split it into smaller date ranges and import each one.

Do I need to import before I can use FORGE?

No. Import is for switchers. You can start fresh with routines and free logging without importing anything.

What about other apps or generic CSVs?

If your app exports CSV with columns for date, exercise name, weight, and reps, it may work. FORGE auto-detects format from the column headers.

What does RPE-to-RIR conversion mean?

FORGE uses Reps in Reserve (RIR) instead of RPE. The conversion is simple: RIR = 10 minus RPE. An RPE 8 becomes RIR 2.

Switch without starting over.
